Hanmer for triathlon
The Hanmer Springs Lions Club will hold a triathlon on December 6 to raise funds towards welfare and development of youth in the area. The race will have running, canoeing, and cycling stages. The running stage will be from the Hanmer Springs Forest Trust Camp to the confluence of the Hanmer and Waiau rivers, about 10km. Competitors will canoe the second stage from the confluence down the Waiau. The event will finish with a cycle race back to Hanmer.
