Stablemates favoured at Forbury Park

Special correspondent Dunedin Jack Smolensk! looks to have a big chance of success in the main event, the Armbro Raven Pace, first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting at Forbury Park tomorrow evening, with two runners, Shirt’s Lord and Thornlea.

The Dunedin-owned Shirt’s Lord has had two races at Addington this month to bring her to peak fitness and she won four races last season. Thornlea ran Maddie close at Washdyke earlier this month then finished a creditable eighth at Oamaru. Patchy Boy, fifth at Oamaru, and Bonover are

also favoured. Bonover has won twice at Forbury Park and she has been prominent at recent trials in Southland.

Cotton On. a costly failure at the N.Z. Metropolitan Trotting Club’s recent National meeting could make amends in the second leg of the T.A.B. double, the Peppy Fulla Pace.
