Committee on violence expanded
PA Wellington A former secretary of the New Zealand Maori Council, Sir Norman Perry, will join the Ministerial Committee of Inquiry into violence. Sir Norman’s appointment, announced by the Minister of Justice, Mr Palmer, yesterday will expand the committee to six.
The committee, chaired by a retired judge, Sir Clinton Roper, is due to report later this year on practical steps which could be taken to reduce the incidence of violence
