P.P.T.A. paper
Sir, —I oppose a recommendation in the P.P.T.A. paper that homosexuality be taught positively in the classroom. lam 100 per cent behind Mrs Matija McGowan, senior mistress at Orewa College, Auckland, resigning from the P.P.T.A. in opposition to this proposal. I also support the 29 staff members of Westlake Boys’ High School who are seriously considering resigning because of the paper. Parents and grandparents should not let this happen. They should do something, say something, loud and clear, before the school holidays cloud this issue. — Yours, etc., THELMA BRASS. August 21, 1986.
