The brother and sister combination of speed roller skaters, Roger and Angela Hawkins, at a training session in the Rollerdrome rink yesterday. Both skaters leave Christchurch today to attend the World Speed Roller Skating Championships in Adelaide next month. Angela, aged 14, is New Zealand’s youngest representative at speed skating. Since early this year, Angela has won l4 out of 15 New Zealand senior ladies’ titles as well as the New Zealand ladies’ marathon. Roger, aged 17, will be attending his second world championships. He has won nine New Zealand senior men’s titles this year, as well as the men’s marathon for the second Both skaters are nursing injuries received in at training last week.
