Louganis confirms diving standing
NZPA-Reuter Madrid Greg Louganis, of the United States, confirmed his standing as the world’s greatest diver when he won an unprecedented third consecutive men’s bighboard title at the world swimming championships yesterday.
After completing the springboard - highboard double, just as he did at the last champitmsSiisp in Guayaquil, Ecuador, four years ago and at the 1884 Los Angeles Olympics, the 26-year-old athlete and actor admitted that he had contemplated retiring.
