New Regent Street one way today
New Regent Street will definitely become a oneway street today, said the Christchurch City Engineer, Mr John Ince. Mr Ince said bad weather meant that the street had not been converted by Saturday, as had been advertised. Because the street was wet, one-way signs could not be painted on it. •'
. Mr Ince said feigns would be up about 7.30 a.m. today. If the street was still wet, temporary signs would be erected. Council staff would work on the street early in the morning. Traffic will now be able to travel on New Regent Street only from Armagh Street to Gloucester Street.
