Mr Tony van der Westhuysen has been admitted as an associate in the tax division of the Christchurch office of the national accounting firm Arthur Young. He is the firm’s first associate — a new position created for non-accountants who are partner equivalents. He was a partner equivalent in Arthur Young’s Johannesburg office before he came to New Zealand in June. He is also a qualified lawyer and an attorney of the Supreme Court of South Africa.
