PA Wellington The Tipoka-1 well, 17km north of Opunake in South Taranaki, has encountered more hydrocarbon shows. According to yesterday’s Petrocorp (Exploration), Ltd, report hydrocarbon shows were recorded from 2742 to 2763 metres. Their significance would be determined when the well was logged. The well, which had reached 2763 metres by 6 a.m. yesterday, had struck hydrocarbons at three levels in the previous 24 hours.
