A cake made in celebration of the marriage of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, to Sarah Ferguson, now Duchess of York, is cut by Mrs Alice Grant, a patient at St Winifred’s Private Hospital, Ltd, in Christchurch, yesterday, Helping is the hospital’s principal nurse, Mary Smith. Some of the patients had helped to chop nuts and stir the fruit mixture for the cake, which was cut at a wedding party for the patients. Most of the 68 patients had also watched a replay of the wedding on a video supplied especially for the occasion by Shipleys Video Systems, Ltd.
