The retiring Wingatui jockey Jim Pankhurst was engaged yesterday to ride the Riccartontrained Black Arrow in the Ashley Meats Brabazon Handicap, first leg of the Christchurch Hunt’s T.A.B. double tomorrow.
The Pankhurst hopeful for the Beefeater Camla Handicap in his last day of race riding at Riccarton will be Burdite, a three-year-old from the Orari stable of Jim’s cousin, Ray Pankhurst.
