Angus bulls average $4137 at sale
Angus bulls sold for an average price of 54137 al the breed’s national sale at Palmerston North this week.
Twenty-two bulls were bought for use as stud sires and 21 will be used over commercial herds. The top price of 515,000 was paid by Lopdell Brothers, of Napier, for a bull bred by Ranui Holdings, of Wanganui. Progeny from North
.American-bred sires, now based in Australia, attracted a lot of interest with prices reaching 513.000 (twice) and $12,500. The Te Mania Stud, of Parnassus, sold two bulls at $BOOO and $7OOO to head the individual averages for the third year in succession. The stud’s top-priced bull was bought by Alistair Smith, of Ashburton.
