Bilingual classes successful

PA Rotorua The Rotorua Primary School’s first bilingual class is so successful that the school committee hopes to get a second class started. The chairman of the committee, Mr Trevor Maxwell, said he was getting calls from concerned parents disappointed that they could not get their children into the present class.

While this was a problem, it was a “beautiful problem,” he said. He was thrilled at the response by parents.

“It is obvious there is a need for more bilingual classes,” Mr Maxwell said. The school opened its bilingual class this term, the first of its kind in the area.
