Eclectic evenings
The McGoohans pop out of the garage for one night at the Gladstone this Saturday. Rockin’ Ritchie Venus and the Blue Beetles and a local poet, the New Germany, complete the bill.
Promised new material will be committed to reel-to-reel tape.
Tomorrow the McGoohans play The Venue, in a line-up which begins at 8 p.m., with Nux Vomica, Holocaust, and Elephant Tranquillisers.
A ' re-formed Tanzen Jungle are at the Gladstone with a rhythm section bolstered by Christchurch Triffids, and a range of styles developed while the members were apart. Stuart McLachlan will also appear. Tonight the Gladstone offers Amez-Amez, and Creative Natives, who feature a former Android, Mark Wilson.
