followers of Christ, and as such, manifested something of His character which Paul defined as “love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness and self control.” Such people, really governed by "Christian principles,” have benefited mankind more than others. They have changed history, reformed society, abolished slavery, secured the freedom and dignity of the individual, maintained standards of law, order, justice and equity. This is the other side of history. Your correspondent should read it. I would suggest, for a start, “Before and After Wesley.” — Yours, etc.,
