Princes Wharf Development The Auckland Harbour Board invites preliminary proposals for the development of Princes Wharf. Although the Port's passenger terminal will remain a principal activity the bulk of the wharf and its six double storey cargo sheds are no longer adaptable for modern cargo needs. This represents a unique opportunity adjacent to the commercial heart of Auckland for the development of a 3.2 ha (8 acre) waterfront site' catering for both commercial and public activities. From the initial proposals one or more parties who demonstrate an innovative but ' soundly based approach and the experience and ability to successfully carry out such a project, will be invited to carry out more detailed investigation. Finally a proposal will be selected and development and tenure terms negotiated. Development Briefs may be obtained upon written application to the Board’s Property Manager.
