Escapers still at large

Two inmates who escaped from Paparua Prison last Thursday were still at large late last evening.

Sean Patrick Broderick (top) and John Terrence Mason (bottom) escaped after removing a 20cm by 40cm concrete block from under a kitchen sink.

The police have described Broderick as dangerous and say he should not be approached. Broderick, aged 18, was sentenced to four years Jail late last year for aggravated robbery.

Mason, aged 23, was serving a 2%-year sentence for kidnapping and aggravated robbery. Broderick is described as 175 cm (sft Sin) tall, of medium build, with black hair. He has a scar on the upper lip.

Mason is 168 cm (sft Sfyi) tall, of mediurif-

build, with black hair. Both men are Maoris.
