Two New Zealanders charged in Malaysia with drug offences carrying mandatory death sentences were unlikely to be tried until next year, said a lawyer for the defendants.
Lorraine Philis Cohen, aged 43, and her son, Aaron Shelton Cohen, aged 19, have been detained in Penang Prison
since their arrest at the Malaysian island’s airport in February, 1985, after they were alleged to be in possession of between 417 and 470 grammes of heroin.
