Chch bowls officers
Mrs J. Meurk was elected president of the Christchurch Women’s Bowling Centre at the centre’s recent annual meeting.
Other officers are. — Vicepresident, Mrs J. Gebbie; past-president, Mrs M. Lightfoot; secretary, Mrs V. Williams; treasurer, Mrs M. Steele; match committee, Mrs W. Evans (convener), Mrs D. Marshall, Mrs B. Crawford, Miss > E. Mclntosh, Mrs H. White; publicity officers, Mrs Evans (results), Mrs Gebbie
(social). The meeting expressed its appreciation of the fine work done by Mrs M. Howie, who retired after many years on the executive, the last nine as convener of the match committee. Mrs E. Warren, since deceased, was congratulated on her receipt of an 0.8. E. for service to women’s bowls, and Denise Page was wished every success at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh later this month.
