Paparua inmate dies after fit
An inmate of Paparua Prison died on Saturday evening after apparently having an epileptic fit He was
Rangitaimal Waho Comene, aged 28. The prison superintendent, Mr Mitchell. Leimon, said that Comene was seen to have an apparent epileptic fit just after 5 p.m. Comene was having treatment for epilepsy. A doctor was called, but Comene died while receiving medical attention. Mr Leimon said that a post-mortem examination would be made and an inquest held.
Comene was serving a four-month sentence for failing to . pay fines, possessing an offensive weapon, and theft.
