Kenneth Sudlow dies
Kenneth Sudlow, a member of New Zealand’s first soccer team to make a world tour, died in Christchurch last week. He was aged 53.
Mr Sudlow played 15 times for New Zealand, and took part in the 1964 world tour. On that tour, he played 13 times and in the same year played against Basel and Munster. Mr Sudlow was playing for Blockhouse Bay in
Auckland at the time. He also appeared for New Zealand Services for many years, and until earlier this season was playing in the Christchurch Sunday soccer league competition.
Mr Sudlow was a warrant officer on the Royal New Zealand Air Force technicians’ staff at Wigram, until retiring in September, 1981. He also served in the Royal Air Force.
