A team of concerned anti-smokers, from several professions and. interests, has launched a national Tobacco Advisory Council, to coincide with Smoke-free Week. The . Dunedin-based council alms to reduce smoking by all lawful means, educate the public in the dangers of smoking, initiate and support legislative change to reduce smoking, and negotiate with the Government on behalf of anti-smoking groups. .
