Small price rises for prime lambs, sheep

Small rises in the prices of prime lamb and sheep at the Addington market yesterday were welcome news for farmers. The Increase in the value of old ewes resulted largely from a small yarding of stock, but the improvement in lamb prices came in spite of another big offering of more than 2000 lambs. In other prime stock classes, beef and pork prices remained steady. Prime lambs This week’s rise . in the meat-export schedule was reflected in another small increase in the prices of light-to-medium lambs.
