President honoured
The president of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association, Mr Brian Faulls, is to receive the New Zealand L.T.A. Service Award. This is an administrative honour reserved for tennis officials who have excelled over a 10-year period on a provincial association’s management committee, or in at least seven years as president. Mr Faulls has now passed the latter milestone. A former president of the national body, Mr Faulls has played active roles in many facets of tennis development, especially as chairman of the Davis Cup organising committee.
