Driving in Nelson
Sir, —I went on holiday recently to Nelson, and what a shock. People say Christchurch drivers are bad. The majority of Nelson drivers do not even know what an indicator is. Drivers even went through stop signs bumper-to-bumper, stopping the main flow of traffic. What I must say, though, is that there is always an exception to the rule — in this instance truck drivers from T.N.L. Freighting. My compliments to some of the most considerate and courteous drivers I have ever come across on the roads. Maybe the car drivers in Nelson should take note.—Yours, etc., D. P. STEWART. June 10, 1986.
