Cavalier back at school job
The Cavalier rugby player, Warwick Taylor, returned to his job at Burnside High School yesterday while the school’s board gives him time to plead his case. Taylor, who teaches physical education, was not available for comment last evening. The chairman of the school’s board of governors, Mr Alan Taylor, said the board had given Taylor a few days grace to confirm whether he had received the board’s advisory messages while overseas. These notified him that his application for more leave had been denied and that a complaint had been laid about his absence from work. Taylor also had the option to explain his actions to the board, which Mr Taylor thought would take him at least another 10 days if he decided to do so.
