Soviet Union
Sir, —Mr Creel seems to have absorbed the Marx-Engels dialectic to a marked degree. His socialist utopias have had almost 70 years to develop and mature, but have merely produced monsters like Hitler, Stalin, Tito, Idi Amin, Pol Pot, etc. The list is seemingly endless and depressing. Germany is divided by a communist wall, the complaisant „ eastern sector being a colony of ' Moscow. The gulag is impressive these days, with nations such as Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Albania and now Afghanistan. Quite a colonial empire.—Yours, etc.,
K. HEINZ. June 7, 1986.
