Burnside men keep open squash lead

Bumside maintained its lead in the Skellerup Sport Star men’s open grade inter-club squash competition with a solid win over Linwood in the latest round on Tuesday evening. Sumner remained well in reach of the Blank Trophy again with a clean sweep over Christchurch Football. Two of the players, Paul Viggers and John Christensen, managed straight-game wins. For Lancaster Park, which secured its second competition win, Robbie Burnett, at No. 1, conceded only six points against Lyn Sparks (Marist). So far he has yet to drop a game. In the women’s open grade competition, Mount Pleasant extended its lead after beating its closest rival, Linwood, on a games countback. In the final contest, Ann Harliwich (Mount Pleas-
