More R-rated action from Chuck Norris

CODE OF SILENCE Roadshow Home Video 96min. R. Chuck Norris, at his best, plays Police Detective Sergeant Eddie Cusack, who has been given a difficult job. Things go badly wrong at a stakedout, undercover drugs buy. A well-organised gang enters the building next door and kills everyone from the opposite window. By putting planks over an alley to the hotel window, they take the cocaine as well as the buyer’s money. The police get one of the mob as they attempt to escape, but the rest get away. Eddie is put in charge of finding the killers and getting the cocaine back. He is forced to put down an old officer at a court hearing, recommending his forced retirement after he had killed a young boy in the shootout. The force turns against him, leaving him to face a large series of killings, a mob war and a kidnapping on his own. He finally finishes the job with the help of a remotecontrolled riot tank. There is plenty of action in this movie, as can be expected from the master. The picture and audio quality are excellent. ELECTRIC DREAMS Roadshow Home Video 94min. G. This is something completely different. On the recommendation of friends a young man buys himself a computer. However, he accidentally spills some champagne on it, which seems to give it the ability to think and behave as a human. About this time a beau-

tiful young girl moves in upstairs, and while practising on her cello she is attracted by the response coming from the flat downstairs. The couple meet and start to fall in love. The trouble is that the computer, Edgar, has also fallen for the girl and is not going to let anyone go out with her without a fight. Edgar starts to drive its owner out of his mind, interrupting a concert that the girl was performing in, cancelling out his credit cards, even putting him on file at a local supermarket as dangerous and armed. The triangle has been formed, the computer has taken over, and nothing can harm it. What a predicament for any young man to be in! It stars Lenny Von Dohlen and Virginia Madsen. The musical soundtracks are by Boy George, Heaven 17, Phil Oakey and Georgio Moroder. The picture and audio quality are very good. THE DOORS DANCE ON FINE CIC Taft Video 65min. G. This is an all-music collection of live and televised performances, promotional clips, and be-hind-the-scenes footage of The Doors. The video is well thought out and put together. It includes “Break On Through,” “Light My Fire,” “Wild Child,” “The Unknown Soldier” (banned since 1968) and a live performance from the Hollywood Bowl. It represents very good value, with first class picture and audio quality, although some segments are in black and white.
