Riccarton Knitwit News KNITWIT NEWS. Today begins a new experience for me, as I will be flying to Greymouth to commence Knitwit Stretch Sewing Classes there. I am looking forward to making many new friends. Speaking of classes, our next series of Basic 8 lessons commence on Wednesday, May 7 at 9.30 a.m. or 7.30 p.m. Learning to sew the Knitwit way is quick, easy and fun. We are proud of the extra help and backup we offer students in between classes. We teach by demonstration, so all you need bring is yourself. You don't have to have the very latest model sewing machine, even a good old straight sewer will do. Sewing with knits, we eliminate the tedium from sewing. E.g. we don’t use darts or zips, we avoid hand sewing and tedious seam neatenings. We will take you through a complete new wardrobe during your 8 week course, commencing from your outside — jackets, frocks, blouses, elegant dresses, leisure wear and lingerie. The cost of your course is $60.00 which does include your manual. A Reminder Free Tab Class for May 8 is fully booked.
