Helicopter wreck found
A crashed Hughes 300 helicopter was found in the bush of .the Mount Thomas Forest in Lees Valley, yesterday. A police spokesman said a hunter found the wreck.
No helicopters had been reported overdue last evening.
The hunter searched the area round the helicopter but could not find anyone. He contacted a farmer who alerted the police.
A Royal New Zealand Air Force helicopter will fly into the area this morning. The police want to hear from the hunter, who is thought to be from Shef-
field, in case the crashed helicopter cannot be found again, the spokesman said.
