Japan cuts rate
NZPA-AFP Tokyo The Bank of Japan has announced a half-point reduction in its discount rate from 4 to 3.5 per cent, affective from today. The decision follows the discount rate cut announced by the U.S. Federal Reserve Board on Friday.
