Spectators ejected
PA Wellington Some of the spectators who caused consternation for the Australian cricketers at the Basin Reserve test match during the week-end were put out on the street.
The Wellington police said they ejected a number of spectators from the ground, particularly on Saturday, for offences in-
eluding beer can-throw-ing, fighting, and other disorder. Inspector Phil Gillman said it was not thought any arrests were made, however. Australian team members, notably Greg Matthews and the captain, Allan Border, were targets for missiles which included eggs and a lavatory seat.
