PA Tauranga An Auckland pipe band, MacLeay Duff Distillery, won several prizes at the Central North Island pipe band championships at Te Puke. Results
Grade I.—Aggregate: MacLeay Duff Distillery 720 points 1, City of Tauranga 690 2, City of Papakura 687 3. Marching: MacLeay Duff Distillery 789 1, City of Auckland 741 2, Hamilton Caledonian 729 3.
Grade 2.—Aggregate:City of Rotorua 554 1, Pukekohe R.S.A. 489 2. marching:. Pukekohe RSA 636 1, City of Rotorua 620 2.
Grade 3.—(one entry)—Ag - gregate and marching. Otahuhu and District 725 and 574.
Grade 4.—Aggregate: R.N.Z.A.F. Te Rapa 650.5 1, City of Napier No. 2 621.5 2. Marching: R.N.Z.A.F. Te Rapa 524 1. Staff flourishing (open): MacLeay Duff Distillery 1, City of Auckland 2, City of Napier No. 2 and Pukekohe R.S.A. equal 3.
