TNT bonus
Directors of a Thomas Nationwide Transport subsidiary, Mcllwraith McEacharn, Ltd, have announced a one-for-five bonus share issue and a 190 per cent net profit leap for the six months ended December 31.
The bonus issue out of the coal and transport group’s capital reserves will rank for the steady 5c interim dividend, payable on April 24. Lower tax charges helped Mcllwraith’s interim net profit jump to $5.2M from 51.8 M, despite an 11.1 per cent fall in turnover to 534.7 M from J39.02M.
