Australia clinches one-day series
NZPA-AAP Melbourne Australia wrapped up the one-day cricket youth international series when it easily defeated New Zealand in the the second match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground yesterday. After its six-wicket win on Saturday, Australia, led by the vice-captain, Brent Opperman, who top scored with 60, scored 206 for nine to New Zealand’s 149 to win by 57 runs. The two teams now move to Brisbane where they will contest the third and final one-day international tomorrow before beginning the third test at the Gabba on Thursday. ’ AUSTRALIA D.
