Stone hits passenger
PA Hamilton A woman suffered a bruised shoulder after stones were thrown at the south bound Northerner express train in Ngaruawahla. Several carriage windows were broken in the incident at 9.30 p.m. on Friday, near the Ngaruawahia rail bridge over the Waikato River.
The injured woman was treated by Hamilton St John Ambulance staff when the train stopped in Frankton. She continued her journey.
