Golfing honour
PA Wellington New Zealand’s professional golfers have honoured an amateur golf administrator. A panel of the Professional Golfers Association named the former New Zealand Golf Association secretary, Mr David Sutton, first winner of the Andyl Shaw Trophy for
outstanding service to the game. Mr Sutton was secretary of the association for 33 years before retiring recently. The P.G.A. also named its first Player of the Year — the P.G.A. champion, Frank Nobilo — at its annual meeting at the Hutt club.
