Rowing pledge
PA Auckland Rowing Foundation’s director, Dudley Storey, says he is determined that New Zealand crews will compete in the coming world championships at Nottingham, England. Mr Storey, a full-time fund-raiser for rowing, said: "I will be making efforts, as I have done
over the past four years, to make sure that the funds are there. “I think it more likely that they will go than that they will not” The Amateur Rowing Association said last week that teams would not compete in the world championships this year because of the sport’s large debts.
