PA Wellington A New Zealand skier, Matthias Hubrich, has finished third in an international FIS slalom at Eben, Austria. Hubrich, of Wellington, finished 2.8 seconds behind the winner, Luxembourg’s Weger Charles, who is ranked among the

world’s top 48 slalom skiers. Second was Siegfried Voglrieter, of Austria.

Marcus Hubrich and Simon Wi Rutene, other members of the BP New Zealand team, were well placed after the first run but did not complete the event.
