Consultants in demand

A Christchurch company, Radley Investments, last year published three books of specialist interest to existing or would-be sharemarket investors. One of these in particular greatly exceeded sales expectations. “Profits From Shares,” dubbed by its publishers as “the how to book,” sold more than 4000 copies within weeks of its release. A reprint released only eight weeks after the first has almost sold out too. After requests the book has been put into Braille and will soon be published in a version for the Australian market.

Radley Investments has found a significant demand for their sharemarket consultancy and analysis services. Apart from their own expertise they use sophisticated computer software to analyse and forecast the market. They have found that many clients with to have information and con-

sultancy assistance independently of brokerage firms.

Radley Investments has also concluded there is a major service gap in the computer industry. They believe the local computer industry has failed to respond to trends which are sweeping the market overseas, especially in the United States. In that country numerous new commercial software programs are being released at radically reduced prices. Business hardware, too, has tumbled in price.

Managing Director, Bob Radley, says “the days of sheltering under import licences and exchange controls are now gone and our commercial scene can now respond with genuinely competitive free enterprise. Those prepared to be innovative and offer quality goods for lower prices can expect to do volume busi-

ness." Accordingly, Radley Investments is currently launching a new company to import, wholesale and retail “new generation” business computer hardware and software. With obvious influence from its benevolent sharemarket terminology the new com-

pany has been named The White Knight Limited. By offering quality at low prices The White Knight believes that apart from existing computer operators, numerous new users can be enticed into using computer technology to achieve business economies and efficiency.
