Lotto
Sir,—l heard on radio that Mr Moore is keen to get Lotto introduced to New Zealand, under the pretext that there would be more money then available from that source for worthy organisations. To obtain this money it first has to be spent or gambled, and unfortunately lost. The loser in the main will be the family man who can least afford it. What a diabolical thing it is to entice a person to spend money on a get-rich-quick trip that never eventuates. We need a Government and M.P.S who care about the family man and his welfare. We need concerned citizens who are interested in the lower-paid working family and wish to improve their position, .both morally, physically and spiritually.—Yours, etc.,
TONY LE CREN. February 13, 1986.
