Nine replicas of the world’s first motor-car, Carl Benz’s 1886 threewheeler, have been built for the motoring centenary celebrations which are being held throughout the world this year. The replicas which are fully operational, were built by apprentices at the Daimler Benz works in West Germany and will be sent on loan to well-known museums of technology throughout the world.
