Shooters on target
J. Fleming and I. Smith won the A and B grade South Island shooting championships over 50yd and 100 yd ranges at Lynnford, near Hinds, on Sunday. Fleming scored 396 from the possible 400, with 19 bulls, which was good shooting in the poor weather.
Smith shot 393.21 to win the B grade.
