Wage protest
Several thousand Greek workers shouting “hands off our wages” staged a rally in central Athens to protest against wage curbs imposed under the socialist Government’s austerity programme. The Prime Minister, Dr Andreas Papandreou, has restricted wage rises in the first four months of 1986 to 4.5 per cent.—Athens.
