Grief expert to visit
PA Wellington Dr Elisabeth Kubler Ross, a Swiss-born physician and psychiatrist who is an expert on death and the grieving process, will give a series of lectures and conduct a workshop in New Zealand later this month. Dr Kubler Ross began her healing work in concentration camps in Poland at the Jend of World War 11.
Her work with dying patients in the United States led to publication of her book, “On Death and Dying,” and changes in the handling of the terminally ill. She will give public lectures at Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch before conducting a residential workshop, at Taupo’s Tuhara Centre. ■
