Famous car
The Daimler 35/120 Landaulette given to Sir Winston Churchill by friends and loyal supporters when his political career was at about its lowest ebb in 1932, and which remained his private limousine for 30 years, fetched £55,000 when
it was auctioned at Sotheby’s in December. • The purchaser was an unnamed Swiss and the Daimler was sold with the famous bulldog mascot on the bonnet and the family coat of arms on the rear doors.
