N.Z. softballers win
PA Hamilton Hie New Zealand women’s softball team continued its warm-up for the world championships with a 4-0 win over Waikato at Hamilton on Tuesday evening. Waikato, ranked fourth in the second division, contained New Zealand for mucs of the match, but with Gina'webber giving up just one hit -and pitching 12
strike-outs, struggled to make an impact with the bat. For the world champions, Rhonda Hira (twice), Robyn Rutter and Karen Mills scored. In another game last night, New Zealand trounced Bay of Plenty, 13-0 in six innings. Chertfl Kemp and DebbiX Myginti pitched no hitteF games for New Zealand.
