Naked rage

PA Auckland A naked woman found by police swimming in Auckland Harbour on Monday night had been stripped by her jealous boyfriend. The pair had been sunbathing at Ladies Bay beach about 7 p.m. when the woman swam to the nearby Gentlemen’s Bay nudist beach, police said. Her boyfriend, aged 32, found her sitting on rocks beside a naked man. He punched the man and then stripped his girlfriend. She fled into the water

and was swimming towards Rangitoto Island when found by the police launch Deodar. The embarrassed woman initially refused to leave the water and it was not until police threw her clothing that she got on the launch. She had refused a lift earlier to the shore from a man in a dinghy. The naked man, aged 27, laid a complaint of assault with the police. The woman told police she just wanted to forget the incident.
