Starling places
PA New Plymouth Auckland’s Geoffrey Laws leads the points table after the third race of the Starling national yachting championships being sailed off Port Taranaki. Laws, aged 17 of Kohimarama, won yesterday morning’s race in Tangaroa, ahead of Anthony Evans (Murrays Bay), in Impression. The young sailors had perfect conditions for yachting with 12 knot winds and a slightly lumpy sea. The afternoon race was won by Scott Adam (Murrays Bay), in Epic. Laws was second, and Evans third.
